Boca has already worked this Monday on US soil, ready to face the Club World Cup. “It’s a very special event, very important. The Xeneize will debut in the Club World Cup next Monday the 16th against Benfica, in Group C. Then they will face Bayern Munich on Friday the 20th and close the group stage against Auckland City on Tuesday the 24th.

The Boca delegation arrived in the United States with 30 players, who flew on a charter flight alongside the coaching staff, while president Juan Román Riquelme will travel later as he remained in Argentina negotiating for reinforcements, where he is currently finalizing details for forward Walter Mazzantti from Huracán.

One of them is already confirmed, and it is Marco Pellegrino, the left-back who arrived from Milan, although with a particularity: the medical examination revealed that he is carrying a tear suffered days before Huracán played in the Apertura final that crowned Platense.

Additionally, Malcom Braida became the second reinforcement. In recent hours, the Football Council finalized the agreement with San Lorenzo for 1,800,000 gross dollars, an amount just above the rescission clause. The former captain of the Ciclón underwent the medical exam and will travel with Pellegrino to join the squad in the United States.

Meanwhile, Leandro Paredes has already spoken with Riquelme, and Boca is managing the execution of the exclusive rescission clause from Roma with the club from La Ribera, which is 3.5 million dollars in four installments. It remains to be seen if the player, who will present with the Argentine National Team against Colombia this Tuesday, accepts the new contract offered, which is higher than what was proposed earlier this year, and whether he arrives to compete in the international tournament or afterward.
