Israel orders the forced evacuation of Jabalia and Gaza City

The Israeli army has ordered the forced relocation of residents from the northern Gaza cities of Jabalia and the capital, Gaza City, including neighborhoods such as Zeitun, Sabra, and Al Tuffah, which was heavily bombed yesterday, killing at least one family of 10 members. “For your safety, evacuate immediately to the south, to the Al Mawasi area,” said military spokesman Avichay Adraee on X, adding that the army is operating with great force in these areas and that attacks will intensify and extend from the west to the center of these cities.

This morning, at least seven Palestinians have died in attacks, according to medical sources cited by the Palestinian news agency Wafa, five of whom were killed when Israel bombed a tent housing displaced persons in Al Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, where more displaced persons are expected to arrive despite it not being a safe zone. Two children have also died, and several people have been injured in attacks on the Azzam family’s home in the Zeitun neighborhood, one of the areas in Gaza City under evacuation order.

Additionally, the Israeli army has continued to destroy residential buildings in central Khan Younis, while artillery bombardments have persisted on the outskirts of Rafah. Yesterday, over 60 Palestinians were killed by Israel in Gaza, according to the Civil Defense spokesman, and more than 56,300 people have died since October 2023 (over half women and children), though this figure is considered conservative and the actual number may have exceeded 72,000, according to various studies.
